About Dr. Gottlieb

I received my doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Nova Southeasten University and completed my undergraduate work at the Pennsylvania State University.

I participated in post graduate training at the New York State Psychiatric Institute at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in the division of substance abuse.  During my two years there, I gained experience working with individuals addicted to heroine, cocaine, marijuana, and alcohol.  Additionally, I received extensive training in motivational enhancement and relapse prevention treatment modalities.

Most recently, I served as the director of the day treatment program at the Renfrew Center of New York, a private facility specializing in the treatment of women with eating disorders.

I am currently in private practice in New York City.  While I typically see individuals with eating disorders and substance abuse issues, I also have experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues.   I have experience working with eating disorders, substance abuse, issues, depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationships issues, as well as, providing individual, family, couples, and group therapy to both men and women.   Additionally I have received comprehensive training in cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, insight oriented, and DBT (Dialectic Behavior Therapy) therapies.
